Accidentally fell Into a "YouTube rabbit hole" about flat earth theory recently. Fucking mentalists.
Complete denial of scientific proof "it's all fake" "we're all sheep" "gravity isn't real"
Even when all their experiments prove the heliocentric model accidentally.
So....
Any flat earthers on here?
If so.... care to provide Any ACTUAL evidence other than "cant see the curve with naked eye"

Wife mentioned a couple of the parents of a kid she taught thought the earth was flat a couple of years ago. And I thought "are these twats living in the dark ages? Must have the IQ of a dead hamster.
. It wasnt until later I found out there was a whole flat earth movement thing.
I still cant believe anyone in this day and age thinks this or that NASA is a global conspiracy. Fucktards.

And presumably they don’t have a horizon but just see the edge of the earth

Just get the impression that it's really not about the science when talking to people like Bolty.
His intention seems more to be about expressing some sort of frustration with a world where nobody give a fuck about him unless he has shit together because we're just a tiny little speck in a vast universe governed by laws he can't argue with even though he'd like to get together with some other divs and agree it's all bollocks.
Last thing Bolty wants to know is it's about accepting he's fucked up, which of course is an issue quite separate from the science that started when some Gemanised Pole called Koperink did some maths based on careful observation of what was actually happening in the sky in the 15th Century.

There's a decent Netflix documentary called Behind the Curve where the flat earthers manage to prove the earth is not flat with their own expirements which are supposed to prove otherwise. Quite funny really.

Watched that a couple of days ago.
Those experiments were hilarious. They still wouldnt accept the result though. They made up some bollocks about the dome moving 15% just to fit their result.
Science. Theory ---> test ---> conclusion
Flat earth. Conclusion ---> test ----> cherry pick to fit your conclusion.
Couple of bits that amused me were the woman saying that people in the FE community think shes a plant, a man, fake Eric and her saying "I cant prove any of it wrong as they'll say the proof is fake" doc asking "isnt that a bit like you?" Her "no, dont think so"
And the mad "ex nasa guy" who wouldnt be in the doc outing all the flat earthers "real names" and going on mental you tube rants.
